I-Stage Group are set to bring a taste of the “Las Vegas” to Newcastle city centre venue.

North-east based entertainment company, I-Stage Group, are set to bring a taste of the “Las Vegas” to Newcastle city centre.

I-Stage Group, who supply entertainment worldwide, have been Commissioned to produce an immersive entertainment experience in the heart of the city. The Carnival de Fiesta show will be launched at The Purple Peacock at a VIP event on Thursday 9th April before taking up residency from Sunday 12th April. The show which contains a host, singers, dancers and speciality acts has been inspired by venues in Las Vegas, New York, London and Brazil.

I-Stage Group Director Paul Waite said “We’re extremely excited to be bringing this concept to such a beautiful setting in the heart of the North-East. Guests will be immersed in a carnival style atmosphere from the moment they enter until the moment they leave. We have sourced the very best local talent to deliver this concept including sensational performers, stage designers, sound and lighting technicians and costume designers. This really will put Newcastle on the map as a forward thinking city within the entertainment sector”

Award winning Costume Designer Paul Shriek has welcomed the challenge to create costumes that are both functional and aesthetically outstanding for The Purple Peacock, Newcastle. “We are delighted to be working with the team from I-Stage Group on this wonderful concept. After a recent visit to the venue I was stunned by the sumptuous decor and its colour pallet, it is a fantastic source of inspiration for fabrics and overall design. We are currently in the process of making costumes to create a visual feast of 'Carnival and Fiesta' for what promises to be a wonderful residency in my home city. It is great to see venues evolving to bring new concepts and experiences and 'spectical' into the heart of Newcastle.”

I-Stage Group show producers Gemma Waite and Megan Conway have been tasked with creating this immersive production. The pair have worked together on multiple projects and are thrilled to be involved. Gemma said “it’s going to be amazing. To create a production that is both entertaining and immersive is very challenging which is why we spent a lot of time planning the entire show down to the last detail. We can’t wait to take it to the stage.”
